New – Seccua Virex Pro 2010

Seccua’s Virex® Pro product line continues to widen the gap between it and its competitors with new features being added every year. The systems now have a 60% higher filtration performance, meaning also longer filter runs at lower pressure drops.

They employ automated membrane integrity testing, which can detect damages as small as 0.5 µm.

Virex Pro’s proprietary PLC based controller can be remotely accessed over the Internet by GPRS/GSM modem. System operation can not only be monitored remotely, but can also be adjusted for peak performance from the operator’s home location. Alert messages can be sent to up to 10 telephone numbers. The data-logging feature of the controller can be either time- or event-based, depending upon the local regulatory requirements.

Virex ProThe controller not only operates the UF system itself, but is also fully capable of controlling peripheral equipment such as feed and backwash pumps, dosing pumps, and CIP (clean-in-place) equipment. This allows the unit to perform fully automated, chemically enhanced cleaning sequences to bring the unit back to initial filtration performance after peak loads of contamination.

Field verified for Cryptosporidium surrogate and virus removal in tests conducted by the US EPA in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Health.

New applications of the Virex Pro product line include gray water recycling for hotels and rainwater recovery.

With systems installed in Australia, Canada, Europe, Mexico and the USA, the Virex Pro product has proven itself as a market leader in the non-community and small community regulatory markets.
