Seccua X-Spot Pro

X-Spot Pro

The new X-Spot® Pro.
Crystal-clear and safe drinking-water from every tap in your house. The new X-Spot Pro cleans itself intelligently, only when required, and does not interupt the water supply when water is used.

Now with 60% higher performance.

Highest Removal Performance

The nano-pores of the X-Spot Pro Ultrafilter fully remove virus, cyst and bacteria from well and city water. The system also reliably removes turbidity, so that downstream second barrier devices, like UV-systems, can function efficiently.

Only whole-house filter that really senses filter-fouling

The X-Spot Pro incorporates a sophicsticated controller that senses the pressure-drop across the filter, records the flow of filtered water and from that computes the actual fouling of the membrane filter. At a glance the user can determine the degree of fouling of the filter and its remaining capacity.

Automatic self cleaning, only when required

The X-Spot Pro flushes out filtered matter automatically and only when the filter load reaches an adjustable threshold. That way the X-Spot Pro avoids unnecessary cleaning cycles and saves precious water. In addition, a time-of-day can be set to perform a cleaning cycle - thus being especially helpful to avoid standing water, when no water is used over a couple of days.

Adapts cleaning to improve comfort

Once the system determines that it requires a cleaning, but at the same time senses that water is being used, the automatic cleaning cylce is delayed until water usage is shut down.

Highest Filtrate output

The X-Spot Pro now offers higher filtrate ouput than ever: due to optimized filter-module construction and more membrane area, depending on the water quality, the system achieves a peak flow of up to 50 liters per minute (13 gpm).

Integrated Membrane Protection

In order to avoid membrane damage through water hammer, Seccua has integrated components into its X-Spot system, protecting the membrane and enabling it to long-term remove particles as small as virus. This integrated Membrane Protection System includes slow closing valves on the unit itself plus an emergency pressure relief as soon as the X-Spot Pro detectes too high incoming pressures.

Go Solar!

Without any additional equipment required, the system can be connected to solar power supplying 12 VDC. Its ultimate low power consumption of only 1,5 W during filtration gives it a superior advantage over desinfection technologies like UV in remote locations without connection to the power-grid.

Industrial quality and German Engineering

Designing the X-Spot Pro, Seccua has incorporated over ten years of experience in building water treatment systems. That is why the X-Spot Pro is machined from one piece, avoiding unnecessary gaskets and fittings, made for long-term reliablility.

Performance Data

Filtration performance1
Peak load, short term up to 50 l/min (13.2 gpm)
Removal performance
Virus (MS2 Phage)2 full removal (>4.7 log tested)
Bacteria (B. Subtilis, E-Coli)2 full removal (>4.9 log tested)
Parasites (Crypto)2 full removal (>4.7 log tested)
Water consumption during flushing typically less than 2%

1 Filtration performance depends on water quality and temperature. Please design carefully before deploying a X-Spot Pro system and consult with Seccua Authorized System Partners for advise if required.

2 Virus and Bacteria removal of the Ultrafiltration membrane was measured by US EPA against EPA Standards for Ultrafiltration systems used on surface water filtration on a new membrane. The tests have been carried out using a Seccua Virex Pro unit which uses the same filter elements than the X-Spot Pro systems. Removal performance can decrease over time, caused by membrane damage, without the X-Spot system being able to deter- mine such decay.
