Ultrapure drinking water in your practice

The UrSpring® Medical removes Legionella, Pseudomonas, and all other germs and pathogens from the municipal water without a trace, before the water enters your office and without the use of chemicals! In doing so, it reduces the formation of biofilm in your treatment equipment and decreases the risk of infection for your patients and treatment team.

Studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich have shown that conventional municipal water contains between 20,000 and 200,000 active cells per milliliter when it enters a building. This biomass results in a strong formation of biofilms in pipes and medical devices. Biofilm in turn gives pathogens room to proliferate. The nanopores of the UrSpring filter membrane are smaller than viruses, bacteria, and parasites and therefore remove Legionella, Pseudomonas, and even viruses from the water.

UrSpring Medical in brief:

  • For dentists’ offices
  • Easy to install
  • Removes bacteria, parasites, viruses, suspended matter, and other pathogens from drinking water
  • No chemicals – guaranteed environmentally friendly

4 reasons for the UrSpring Medical in your office

Protection and ultrapure water throughout your office

The UrSpring Medical is installed directly at the water supply point, downstream of other water treatment devices such as water softeners. It removes all germs from the water and thus also reduces the nutrients for existing biofilms in the pipes and equipment. Long-term studies have confirmed the sharp decline of existing microbial contamination without any further measures. So the germ load is drastically reduced at every tap in your office.

1

Reduction of nutrients

Other sterilization methods, such as UV irradiation or chlorine sterilization, kill germs and thus cause a build-up of nutrients that benefit bacterial films in the lines. In contrast, the UrSpring, equipped with an additional Seccua BioFilter, removes even pesticides, drug residues, and other organic matter found in the water. This minimizes both the risk to people’s health and the supply of nutrients to germs in the lines.

2

Unbeatable value

The UrSpring Medical has no ongoing, expensive chemical requirement, and it only draws between 1.5 and 5.4 watts of electricity. UrSpring filters are changed once a year as part of your office’s normal equipment maintenance. Here too, the operating costs are far below those of other technologies.

3

Developed and manufactured in Germany

The UrSpring Medical was developed and is produced in Germany according to the highest, certified quality guidelines. The UrSpring technology is widely used as a method for sterilizing drinking water and is recommended by the German Environment Agency.

(1) Filtration performance depends on water quality and temperature. Please design carefully before deploying a UrSpring system and consult with Seccua Authorized System Partners for advise if required. Virus and Bacteria removal of the Ultrafiltration membrane was measured by US EPA against EPA Standards for Ultrafiltration systems used on surface water filtration on a new membrane. The tests have been carried out using a Seccua Virex Pro unit which uses the same filter elements than the UrSpring systems. Removal performance can decrease over time, caused by membrane damage, without the UrSpring system being able to determine such decay.
